THE AIRPLANE - A SUBSPECIES OF THE BAT?
Here the Bible mockers are simply arrogant. The same mistake and the same reason for it: Concluding without regard for what is written there. The passage quoted is not like what they think a “Bat classification”. There is another reason why the bat is categorized with the fowls and this stands out as clearly as daylight for those who really want to see. The purpose of this whole section in the Law is to catalogue KOSHER meat in the fowl population and really...!
Deuteronomy 14:11-18
"Of all clean birds ye shall eat. But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray, And the glede, and the kite, and the vulture after his kind, And every raven after his kind, And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind, The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan, And the pelican, and the gier eagle, and the cormorant, And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and THE BAT." What else would YOU have done to warn the faithful against eating bat-meat other than sorting it with “fowl”? One must remember that it was done nearly 3000 years ago and anything that flew and was not insects were taken to be birds. Even I thought a bat was a bird when I saw one for the first time. If the mockers are honest, even they would admit that they would have made the same mistake if science didn’t discover this fact much later than the time of Moses and taught this fact. Even an airplane is sometimes referred to as a metal or a mechanical “bird”. Would it be classified as subspecies of the Bat? LOL!
