This man’s image is already badly tarnished even before he is revealed to the world. When we look at the Scripture where this figure is described through a prophet’s eyes a totally different picture unfolds, like it is with so many other places in the Bible. But let us take this pericope verse-by-verse to see what the Bible wants to teach us. Where the going gets tough I will use the Strong’s number and explain. We will do this in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible.
Many people think that the word “endtime” refers to a particular time-pinpoint when Armageddon is upon us. Endtime is in fact a timespan that begins with the Baptism of Jesus Christ (Mat.3:13) and will end with the catastrophic “great and dreadful day of the Lord”, which Malachi (4:5) prophecies about.
Jesus referred to this period as a “generation” (Mat.23:36) and indeed! The narrative in Genesis about the seven creation days is not at all referring to the seven human days of the week but is a description of how the Divine works in heaven time, where a thousand human years are equated with one divine day. (Ps.90:4)
