Christians usually shy away from judging others, for fear of what Christ said: “Do not judge, or you too will be judged." (Mat. 7:1) But did Christ mean that anybody can just do as they please, because nobody is allowed to judge?
In 1Cor.5:1-13 God make it quite clear that members of one congregation must keep a tight rein on the moral compass of all members. Here judging is essential, but outside the Church? Paul writes: "What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”
