Security has become one of the top priorities in a fallen world. The systems used to safeguard houses, businesses, governments, the internet etc. is mind boggling and can get very sophisticated!
Heaven also has a strict security system. ONLY "those who are victorious will inherit" the Kingdom, while others will be "consigned to a "second death" (Rev.21:7-8) Believe it: Things like fingerprint identification or facial recognition will not open heaven's portals. All will be judged whether it can be recognized if we have the Spirit of Jesus in our hearts.
The shoulder shrugger says: One can take the sheep to the water, but you cannot make it drink. The entrepreneur says: Make it thirsty and it will beg you to take it to the water!
Evangelizing works on the same principle. The Gospel is that "water of life, clear as crystal flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb." (Rev.22:1) The Water of Life is there for the drinking, but if you are unable to create a "thirst" (Isa.55:1) for righteousness, for eternal life, for Jesus Christ, the sheep will be happy to be satisfied with whatever the world has to offer.
A while ago I read a desperate plea for help from a pastor. How sad that in ONE Christianity some reverends are so revered that they wallow in luxury while others long "to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything." (Luk.15:16)
Don't make your spiritual leader cry out to God, while your "cup overflows". The Bible says"...one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor" (Gal.6:6) and “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain; THE WORKER DESERVES HIS WAGES.”(1Tim.5:18)
Time can go by cruelly fast. Before you can say "amen hallelujah" the children are grownups, ready to "be fruitful and increase" (Gen.1:28)!
By then the matured parents look at life differently, many times with remorse: "O how I wish I spent more time with my children, but it was work and business and work and busyness... But then God send a second chance - a grandchild. Don't spoil them, but bless them with quality time. So if you see this old man playing marbles with his grandchildren, don't think he's lost his marbles. He's just grabbing his second chance.
Fake news is not some new fad. In 1Ki.22 a plot is hatched to kill Ahab. Many plans were put on the table but eventually, fake news was decided upon: "I will go out and be a deceiving spirit in the mouths of all his prophets..." (1 Ki.22:22)
Christians are commissioned to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Good News of redemption in His Blood and a new Birth anchored in His Resurrection. We must see to it that our lifestyle and the Good News we preach are in tandem, otherwise we will not convince a skeptical world and turn the Good News into Fake News.
Manufacturers always issue an instruction manual with every machine they put on the market. By referring to it we learn how to use it to its utmost potential.
Human beings are the most complicated physical and spiritual entities ever designed and created. Fortunately our Maker also issued us with an instruction manual to refer to, when the going gets tough. That Manuel is the Bible, and Apostle Paul describe it like this: "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness," (2 Tim.3:16)
The Lord gave Joshua some sound advice: "Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it..."(Jos.1:8)
Many centuries later our Lord Jesus gave even better advice. He transposed and nut-shelled an ever growing Law-book into an "easy yoke and light burden" (Mat.11:28) of just one single word: LOVE, the fulfillment of the Law (Mat.5:17).
❤Please Lord, let everything we think, say or do be baptized in the Love of Jesus Christ. AMEN❤
Unlike an oak tree, the trunk of a palm tree is supple, which allows it to bend in the wind and when the hurricane subsides it stands tall again, stronger than before.
Our spiritual life must be supple, like a palm tree! When God does not deliver our needs we petitioned Him for in our prayers by speed courier and Satan blows hurricanes of doubt over our faith, don't be ripped out of your foundation like an oak. This is how Apostle James puts it: "But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind." (Jas1:6)
"Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers." (Ps.1:1)
The Bible warns us away from "the wicked, sinners and mockers", because God knows how easily we can be drawn into Satan's miry clay. However, Jesus wants us to disciple all humans irrespective of who or what they are, which means we cannot lock ourselves up physically in a monastery or convent. Spiritually, yes, but we need to rub shoulders with those world citizens as REDEEMED sinners, to Bless those mockers with THE WAY!
Do God need human sacrifice? The answer is an ambiguous yes and no!
NO! God does not need indoctrinated people to blow themselves up in order to kill other people, under the impression that they do God a service and a favor and will reap generous divine rewards. Those people martyr themselves for eternal condemnation!
THAT... IS FALSE WORSHIP!
YES! God needs humans to sacrifice "their bodies as a LIVING sacrifice" (Rom.12:1) to serve Him by serving their fellow humans.
THAT... IS TRUE WORSHIP!
