CHAPTER THIRTEEN
The Gospel of The Jews
ATONEMENT FOR THE SIN OF THE WAGES
“My God, my God, why have though forsaken me? Why art though so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
(Psalm 22:1)
When Jesus was dying on the cross on Golgotha on the Day of the Curse in Creation year C21820, He could only manage to groan out the first four words of this first verse of Psalm 22, (in Aramaic) but those words would shudder through nineteen centuries and again echoed desperately from the lips of the Jews in the extermination camps of the Nazis: “My God, my God, why have though forsaken me!”
But did God really forsake the “apple of his eye,” (Zec.2:8) or is there more hidden beneath the waves that’s concealed for the physical eye? Was the extermination of the Jews just the twisted brainchild of Hitler and his henchmen, or was there more hidden behind the veil between heaven and earth? Is there a link between a God-forsaken Jesus and the God-forsaken Jews?
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom.6:23)
The “wages of sin” and the “sin of the wages” is a simple yet complicated matter. It is as simple as a two-sided coin which is legal tender for what it is aimed to pay for, yet it is complicated in the sense that the two sides of the coin cannot be tendered separately, both with blanks on the other side. That would not be legal tender.
THE SIN OF THE WAGES
Come along with me with an open mind on a short tour of Atonement and have a look at how God all along planned the redemption of man from eternal death in a Dualistic Gospel to exterminate Death, the “wages of sin” on the one side of the Atonement Coin and destroy the “sin of the wages” on the other side. We are familiar with the two-in-one Substitute Offering of Passover and the Sin Offering of Atonement, both Offers paid for by the Life of Jesus, on the obverse side of the Atonement Coin, but the question that we must answer here is, what about the “sin of the wages,” which is the flipside of the Atonement Coin?
It was certainly possible for Jesus to be both the Passover and Atonement Offering at once, but both these Offerings only represent the obverse side of the Atonement Coin, but could He be the Scapegoat as well, which is the flipside of the Coin? With regard to the Atonement of man the Bible clearly stipulates “two goats, one for a sin offering and one for a scapegoat.” (Lev.16:7) God surely must have had a reason that He set this requirement in the stone of the Law.
Christians are instructed to “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation.” (Mar.16:15) This command requires that Christians know exactly what the Gospel of Atonement entails and although “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever,” (Heb.13:8) the same cannot be said of the Gospel of Atonement because, although the Atonement Sin Offering was slain on Calvary and Jesus paid the price in full to destroy the ‘wages of sin,’ the Scapegoat of Atonement only came to the end of its long walk to freedom as recently as the Second World War, where it was destroyed together with the ‘sin of the wages’ in the fire of the cremation chambers of the Nazis.
THE ATONEMENT BRIDGE
There is a great chasm between temporal life on earth and eternal life in heaven and this abyss needed to be bridged because this earth is not our home, we are merely passing through to the other side. Now if some or even all of the people do not believe this, it does not matter, because the plan for the redemption of man from the confines of earth was designed and implemented by God the Farmer, who specialises in human husbandry. We are in a certain sense God’s “sheep.”
Every religion, including the spiritual religion of Atheism and the physical religion of Science and every mindset has a role to play to make God’s Great Plan come together, and thus are just different pieces in the One Divine Jigsaw Puzzle.
To the Christians it was commanded to proclaim the Good News of the eternal life and explain the engineering behind the divine bridge that spans the chasm between the temporal and eternal, in other words, how Atonement was achieved between a holy God and sinful Man.
However, the lines of the Great Commandment to the Christians became blurred because the Satan also had his fingers in this pie. To most of them “proclaim the Gospel” came to mean “proclaim Christianity” and “make disciples” to mean “make Christians.” Anyway, with the Christian community lying in tatters all over the world, their Holy Communion, which was supposed to be a practical demonstration of the Love of and unity in Jesus Christ (1Cor.10:17), became “a resounding gong and a clanging symbol.” (Rom.13:1)
Very few Christians understand that to make disciples for Love is tantamount to making disciples for Christ, because Jesus Christ is the manifestation of God’s Love for the whole world. (Joh.3:16) That means an Atheist or Hindu, Buddhist, Islamic or whatever believer or so-called nonbeliever can be a disciple of Jesus right where they are, if they practice agape love. Rom.2:14 endorse this: “For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves.”
Therefore, when human beings of any background practice Agape Love, they become miniature manifestations of divine love, minute images of and accordingly, disciples of Jesus Christ, Who is the Manifestation of the Love of the Eternal Spirit dwelling in the Unapproachable Light (1Tim.6:16).
THE ATONEMENT OF PERSONAL SIN
Satan also deceived many Christians into thinking that sin is sin is sin. The Bible disagrees: “There is a sin that leads to death… All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.” (1Joh.5:16-17) This clearly shows principally two kinds of sin namely temporal or personal sin versus eternal or collective sin, and it hints at the complexity of doing away with sin.
Personal Sin: This points to breaking the command of the Law or the Golden Rule or the Law of Love and can be legitimately punished by God and/or His government on earth (Rom.13:1) or illegally by other humans, or this temporal sin can be forgiven “until seventy times seven (= unlimited times)” (Mat.18:22). Not so with eternal sin alias unforgivable or collective sin, which was introduced into the world when the natural Adam was introduced into the world and will be taken away by the spiritual Adam, who is Jesus, in combination with a Scapegoat worthy of its calling.
There is a very fine line to be drawn between temporal sin and eternal sin. Jesus showed this very aptly when “a certain ruler asked Him, ‘Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good except God alone.” (Luk.18:18-19) Then Jesus recommended keeping the Law and practicing agape love.
Here Jesus showed the two-way nature of sin. He called Himself “not good,” because He was still kept prisoner by a natural body, despite the fact that He was the “Lamb without blemish” (1Pet.1:19), meaning that he was without Personal Sin.
Jesus declared Himself (NOT Christianity!!!) to be “the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.” (Joh.14:6) By laying down His body on the altar as a redeeming offer was the only way to eternity for humans. It means that there is absolutely nothing any human being can do to “earn” eternal life. The “certain ruler” phrased his question correctly to Jesus: Eternal life is an “inheritance” for every human of the Aion, written into the New Testament of God with the Blood of Christ and aided and abetted by a worthy and Chosen Scapegoat. This is indeed the Good News that has to be proclaimed to all the corners of the world.
So why did Jesus recommend keeping the law and practicing agape love? The simple answer is to help humans overcome personal sin. It is also meant to create a good system of order on earth which will be achieved when God’s Kingdom will come on earth as it is in heaven, when the world will be split up and ruled as collective administrative units under One Divine Messenger, (Mal.3:1) who will begin to operate after the Great Tribulation that is shortly on the cards for humanity, which is the day that God will judge humanity, the dead as well as the living, the day when the Atonement of both Personal and Collective Sin will finally be laid to rest.
THE ATONEMENT OF COLLECTIVE SIN
The foreshadow of how God intended to redeem and cleanse the world from Collective Sin was decided upon before the laying of the foundation of our heavenly Generation and recorded in the Old Testament Law, of which “not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear… until everything is accomplished...” (Mat.5:17)
The Day of Atonement: The law about the Atonement of Eternal Sin of humanity says:
“And he shall take the two goats and present them before the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat. And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD'S lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering. But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.”
(Lev.16:7-10)
Christians understand this Atonement of God only partly because the deception of the Satan is often not understood or even considered. They correctly know that God is both merciful and just, merciful to forgive sins, but at the same time just, to punish sin and they know the roles that the sin offering and the scapegoat play in the atonement of man. Satan could not change that because it is established in the Law.
However, he manipulated the minds of Christians to regard Christ as playing the role of both goats!
Leviticus Chapter 16 explains in prophetical terms how the Atonement was going to be achieved and the Jews acted out this prophecy as a prefigure every year, first in the Tabernacle and later in the Temple, exactly as prescribed. Nevertheless, this “play” came to a full stop for the Jews when the Temple was finally destroyed in the Year C21860 (70AZ) and long before that for the Christians, when a bridge linking these two religions from the Bible was demolished by fallacies and false doctrine.
1279 years after the Law of Atonement was Given to Moses, the prophesy came partly to pass when Jesus and Barabbas, playing the roles of the two goats, appeared before Pontius Pilate who played the role of Aaron. When Pilate asked the Jews to make a choice for either Jesus or Barabbas to be released, he was in fact casting the lot for Aaron.
BarAbbas versus Barabbas: Jesus standing next to Barabbas before Pilate has a very profound connotation. Barabbas (G912) is a combination of the Chaldee “bar” (H1347) meaning “son” and “abba” (G5) meaning “father,” thus Barabbas means “son of the father.” Jesus is undeniably the “Son of (Father) God,” (Mar.1:1 etc.) making the choice before Pilate between two Sons of God.
Now with the LORD firmly declaring that “Israel is my firstborn son,” (Ex.4:22) it just shows what an incredibly intelligent divine choice it was for a person named Barabbas to be “thrown into prison for an insurrection in the city, and for murder,” (Luk.23:19) who would eventually land up next to Jesus before Pilate. He would be the perfect stand-in for the whole Jewish nation, who carried the banner for historical Israel.
The lot fell on Jesus BarAbbas to be the goat for the LORD, to be offered as a Sin Offering, leaving Judah BarAbbas to be released as the Scapegoat.
Jesus was duly sacrificed on the cross, bringing His task of redeeming mankind from Death, the wages of collective sin, to completion, when He offered His Body and Soul in exchange for humanity, but for the Jews, who were represented before Pontius Pilate by Barabbas, the journey just begun as the Scapegoat, a journey which would take them through many centuries of trials and tribulations, carrying Collective Sin minus the ‘wages,’ but with the added burden of ‘scarecrow death’ to their Holocaust, the Jewish Great Tribulation.
THE BURDEN OF THE SCAPEGOAT
“And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness.” (Lev.16:21)
The biggest irony of the Gospel is that it seems like Death still reigns, even after Christ was crucified almost 2000 years ago to cancel the “wages of sin,” meaning “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” (1Cor.15:54) This is impossible to understand logically, unless the role of the Scapegoat is considered, the second goat involved in the Atonement of mankind.
Jesus cancelled the “wages” of Collective Sin by proclaiming victory over Death with His Resurrection from death, but that leave some serious questions like: Why was Collective Sin not destroyed together with its “wages?” Why was a separate Scapegoat needed to carry Collective Sin to its destruction? And… Why was the sin-offering killed, but the scapegoat required to live?
To answer here is not so simple. Collective Sin is not something committed, but is inherent to what natural humanity is. This “sin” is “generated” just by living in a natural body in the natural environment of the earth. This creates separation between an “unholy” (natural) life on earth and that of a “holy” (spiritual) life in heaven. One can understand this better if one considers that God is a Farmer and humans are His produce. Farmer God’s goal is to eventually raise 28,8Billion uniquely individual humans in a matter of 24,000 years on earth that will form a heavenly colony called an Aion or one Heavenly Generation, and become part of the greater scheme of things, where literally billions of these Aions travel purposefully in earth-sized Tabernacles around the Megaverse at velocities capable of many times that of light.
It is obvious that earth cannot sustain such an enormous number of humans at once, so a system of living on earth in “be fruitful and increase” (Gen.1:28) human generations was introduced, followed by the Death of the flesh, disposing of the body, harvesting the soul and spirit that was cultivated during the human’s life on earth and embed the soul in a heavenly “glorious body” (Phi.3:21) that’s adapted to live outside the natural confines of earth.
This Good News of God having a plan for mankind that goes beyond the cul-de-sac of death had to be proclaimed to all the world and that became the principal commitment entrusted to the Christians. The Resurrection is the hub around which the Gospel of Jesus Christ revolve. By dying the death that every human being is subjected to, the ‘wages of sin’ was effectively illustrated, but by resurrecting from death the ‘wages’ were successfully destroyed.
The only problem that stood between a farm on a natural earth where the breeding of the natural or “caterpillar” stage of heavenly inhabitants is done and heaven where those “butterfly” populace is going to be employed, is bridging the schism between earth and heaven.
WHY JESUS COULD NOT DESTROY COLLECTIVE SIN
Jesus also shared in the Collective Sin syndrome that was determined for mankind since Adam, by being born in the flesh. However, when Jesus died His natural body “did not see decay” (Act.13:37) but was offered together with His Soul in lieu of a place for humanity in the Heavenly Tabernacle. The Body of Jesus was the only human body of the Aion that was not returned to the earth, the reason why the grave was “robbed” of a body (Mat.28:13) and confirmed in Jud.1:9 where it is written that “the archangel Michael was disputing with the Devil about the body of Moses…” but one can safely conclude that Jude alludes here to Jesus and not to Moses per se. The earth duly received Moses’ body when “He buried him in Moab.” (Deu.34:6) No dispute there.
The name Moses (H4872) which means “to be drawn or rescued from the water” can also be applied to Jesus who was drawn or rescued from the logical conclusion of natural life, which is death, by being Resurrected. (Apostle Peter calls natural life “water” – 2Pet.3:5)
After the Offering of His Body and Soul Jesus resurrected as a pure Spirit Being, becoming “the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His Being…” (Heb.1:3) The Being the disciples saw, who spoke to them, who invited them to touch Him and who “ate” with them was definitely “this (same) Jesus whom you crucified…” (Act.2:36) but the body He presented to His disciples was one of optical illusion, as the angel Raphael confirmed to Tobit: “When you thought you saw me eating, I did not really eat anything; it only seemed as if I did.” (Tobit 12:19)
A TWO-IN-ONE ATONEMENT PASSOVER
So, why did Jesus destroy Death but not Collective Sin? The correct interpretation of Deu.21:22-23 gives us an idea –
“And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree: His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is cursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.”
Apostle Paul use this same verse to explain in Gal.3 how the Christians are relieved of the curse of being excluded from the “blessing given to Abraham” (v14) by Christ “becoming a curse” (v13). Of course, Paul could not include the part the Jews played in this setup, because in his time the Scapegoat journey of the Jews barely started, this part of the Gospel was still evolving, and will only come to fruition in the Great Tribulation. Nevertheless, he refers to this phenomenon when he discuss the “remnant of Israel” in Rom.11 – “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” (v19)
Fact is, Christ did become a “Cursed of God” because He was put to death by hanging “on a tree.” Nonetheless, His body did not remain all night upon the tree but was buried “before sunset on the day of Preparation for the Passover.” (Luk.23:54) This implies that the curse did not go with Christ to the grave. Christ became accursed the moment when He was crucified which means Christ did not live the curse, a prerequisite for the total destruction of Collective Sin together with the annihilation of the Body of the accursed.
Christ’s Body served a different purpose, because He brought two different offerings together, namely the Sin Offering of Atonement and the Substitute Offering of the Passover. The regulations for both these divine institutions stipulates the Offer must be killed. However, the destruction of Collective Sin needed a “living sacrifice,” living the Curse, bearing the Cross of the Curse alive ‘until death do us not part,’ when the Cross will be exchanged for a Crown and a new Body will be resurrected from the ashes of the old to a new purpose on earth.
THE FINAL SOLUTION
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Gal.2:20)
This is the testimony of a true Christian. Christ sacrificed His Life to destroy the ‘wages of sin,’ but a life needs to be lived in sacrifice, to destroy the ‘sin of the wages.’ Only by living a sacrificial life in Christ the Christian can destroy Personal Sin in their lives. The same principle is valid with regard to the destruction of Collective Sin, and that is where the Real McCoy Jewish Scapegoat comes into the picture.
A Body Swap: The Body of Christ was not available, so another Body was needed for the destruction of Collective Sin. A single human being would not be adequate to take Jesus’ place, but a whole nation acting in unison as another “Son of God,” another Bar Abbas, would certainly suffice and be a worthy Scapegoat.
The animal scapegoat was cursed with the sins of the Jewish nation, an action which recurred every year, but the Jewish Scapegoat was cursed with the Collective Sin of mankind “once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.” (Heb.9:26) Christ certainly did not die “at the culmination of the ages,” it is the Scapegoat that was sacrificed at the end of the historical Jewish age that will finally be laid to rest in the imminent Great Tribulation, which is the culmination of the Age of Atonement that was started with the death of Christ.
Christ died the Curse as a Sin Offering of Atonement and Substitute Offering of the Passover and Resurrected from death to kill ‘the Wages of Sin.’ The Historic Jews lived the Curse as the Scapegoat to kill the ‘Sin of the Wages.’
The Scapegoat Nazirite: The Body of the historic Jewish Nation was destroyed in their Holocaust. They suffered and died as an accursed nation. They went down the horrible ‘last mile of the way’ to their butchers in the extermination camps of the Nazis, transported like animals in Holocaust trains, publicly humiliated, stripped of their humanity, their dignity and their shame bared for the world to see.
This blatant suffering was all part of them as a nation being separated and dedicated to the Atonement of Collective Sin and written into the Law of Moses as God’s Nazirite. (Num.6:1-21)
The final ritual of their dedication as God’s Nazirite:
“Then at the entrance to the tent of meeting, the Nazirite must shave off the hair that symbolizes their dedication. They are to take the hair and put it in the fire that is under the sacrifice of the fellowship offering.” (Num.6:18)
The hair of the condemned Jews that were shaved off symbolized and confirmed their dedication. Then, without further ado, they were bundled into the gas chambers of Auschwitz and others whereafter, not the hair, but the Jewish Nazirite was obliterated in the Crematoria, their “fellowship offering” for the eschatological Tribes of Israel complete.
But unknown to the Nazis, when the Jews went into the depths of death they took Collective Sin with them. What the Nazis termed the “final solution” for the Jews were in fact God’s final solution for Collective sin.
A PRIESTLY BLESSING FROM THE GRAVE
From the grave of the Historic Jew and from the mouth of Aaron and his Sons rises an eternal Blessing to all twelve Tribes of Eschatological Israel, inscribed on the stone tablets of Time by the Finger of God at the end of the Age of Atonement:
“The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”
(Num.6:22-27)
With these words the Blessing and Name of the LORD is extended to, and written over all peoples of the Aion, from Adam to the Last Trumpet.
AMEN
