The Bible says that Jesus spoke in parables whenever He addressed the crowds, but when he was alone with his closest confidants, He spoke openly about the Kingdom of heaven, eternal life and the Gospel (Mat.13:34).
Things are still the same after all these years. If you follow Jesus, it must be a PERSONAL one-on-one relationship. Don't just follow the crowds. Don't be satisfied with parables. Become an INTIMATE companion of Jesus. Remember, you can only tell the world about the Gospel if you are in on the secret of the Gospel!
What comes first, the chicken or the egg? Tricky! Without a chicken you can't have an egg, but then, without an egg you cannot have a chicken.
The same case can be made for temporal and eternal life. God designed the temporal life for the spiritual reality of eternal life and the promise of eternal life is born out of the physical reality of temporal life.
God's promise of the afterlife is inextricably interwoven with how we live out our present life. Always keep that in mind so that, when you make choices in life, you do it against the backdrop of the promise of eternal life.
Humans go to great lengths to build strongholds for their treasures, like Fort Knox, where a large portion of the USA's official gold reserves are stored. Imagine, all this trouble for so-called "treasures" that completely lose its value for you the day you die.
However, there is a treasure more precious than all the gold in Fort Knox. It is called Eternal Life. Through His Life, Death and Resurrection, Jesus Christ opened a deposit box for every human being in heaven. Every time you do a good deed to serve your fellow human, you make a deposit into that box.
Don't get tired of doing good things to your fellow humans. Hold on to the faith. Temporal life is short, but eternal life is, well... eternal!
If it was possible to look down and behold human behavior from the Space Station, one would conclude that humanity is like sheep without a shepherd, a land without a King... everyone do as they like.
What the world needs is THE ULTIMATE LAW. A Law that outweighs the Bible, the Torah, the Qur'an, all other holy books, plus all the Constitutions of all the countries in the world together.
That LAW can be encapsulated in just TWO sentences (see the wording in the pic) and engraved in the hearts of every human being:
THE GOLDEN RULE!
Presidents Trump, Putin, Xi Jinping and Kim Jong-un will surely laugh out loud if they read in Judges Chapter 7 how the Lord instructs Gideon to REDUCE his army in order to gain victory against the Midianites.
But isn't that just about the way how our heads function? We think the more is always the merrier, the stronger, the most invincible. We think that we need a lot of money and a host of backup in order to make a success of a venture. But the Lord says: not so!.
We just need our inspired dream, an impossible goal, determination and resolve, to make our plans come together. If God is for us, who can be against us? So brother and sister, don't procrastinate...
YOUR SUCCESS STARTS NOW!
For the past nearly 2000 years the identity of the Man who carries the mark of the beast kept the world spellbound!
One day soon the shouts of wolf will become a reality: All of a sudden the Man will be among us. There is nothing we can do to prohibit his revelation, but we can develop a proactive strategy to nullify the Man.
The Hebrew lettering for 666 has the answer. In the pic it can be clearly seen to look like 777 (vav-vav-vav). Now 7 is the PERFECT and Divine number. The 7 Spirits of Revelations7: 4 indicates the Most High God.
We must constantly live under the guidance and protection of God. We must keep our spiritual lanterns filled with oil and our lights burning in a dark unsuspecting world.
Through the ages, miracles were always a sign of the Presence of God. Jesus Christ did so many miracles, that the Apostle John exclaimed the world would be too small to house all the books that would be needed to write them in.
The question is: do miracles STILL happen in 2017? And the answer is a resounding YES! In fact, the miracles are so many, it can be described as a flood. And I'm not referring to so-called prophets that claim unnatural healing through the power of THEIR prayer!
I refer to the miracles that God do through science, doctors, nurses, engineers, teachers etc every moment of every day.
Or do you want to tell me that doctors operating on and healing a foetus in the mother's womb is NOT a miracle? Or an ailing person healed by receiving the heart or other organs from another is NOT a miracle? A child rescued from the edge of surrender by a committed teacher is NOT a miracle?
Miracles are so abundant, that we fail to see them for what they are... miracles!
OR DO PEOPLE PERHAPS WANT TO SEE MAGIC AND NOT MIRACLES?
Sure, divine miracles still happen in answer to prayers and I can testify to that, but it is not a common experience. God surely proclaims His Presence in mysterious ways, but by way of scientific miracles, God shows the world that science is just a tool of His and a chip off His Omniscience.
Ever since Cain's offering was rejected and Abel's accepted, there was animosity about the question: whose God is God? After that episode rivers of blood have flown to the ocean in religious wars, in order to force an answer.
Yet, the answer is simple:
When I was a small boy I jealously told my siblings that our pa was only MY father and not theirs, but my father gently reprimanded me and made me understand that he was the father of ALL our siblings.
That incident showed me that religions will only claim sole ownership of God, IF THEY ARE STILL IMMATURE! People need to grow up and realize that all religions and mindsets are siblings and God is the Father of ALL humans WHO KEEP THE GOLDEN RULE!
After Cain killed his brother, the Lord asked him: "Where is your brother?"
He replied: "I don't know. Am I my brother's keeper?"
We may not be murderers like Cain, but are we not sometimes just as callous?
The most precious gift God bestows on humans is to have a family - with an added bonus to have our parents and grandparents still alive in our adulthood.
There is no way that we can escape the responsibility to nurture our dear ones bodily AND spiritually, but are we at all times alert for the needs of our elderly? ... Their physical needs as well as spending quality time talking and listening to them?
But...do we not, perhaps, sometimes become so busy with our cell phones, tablets, friends and other things that we shout back at God: AM I MOMMY AND DADDY'S KEEPER?
Put your life on hold! Before things get too much for you and life spins out of control, COME TO A STANDSTILL...
Take a deep breath and drag your mind away from that terrifying mortal illness and depression that slowly eats away at your body soul and spirit. Look up, and then around you again, but now, through the eyes of God.
Look at Mother Nature in in all her glory and stand in awesome wonder... Shout with a grateful heart: "MY GOD, HOW GREAT THOUGH ART!"
Experience how insignificant your problems become. Feel the Divine Comforter drape Himself around you and... be content.
